PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KAI Commuter) has officially launched an innovative step to enhance public transportation service standards. The company is now adopting the cutting-edge air purification technology, Nanoe X, whose effectiveness has previously been proven on various commuter train fleets in Japan.
Vice President Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, stated that the installation of these devices reflects the company's commitment to maintaining the health and comfort of service users. Nanoe X technology is designed to eliminate various air pollutants, including bacteria, viruses, mold, and pollen, as well as neutralize unpleasant odors inside the train cabin.
Currently, the application of this technology is still in the trial phase, installed on one JR205 series (SF12) trainset operating on the Bogor line. Management is intensively monitoring the field effectiveness and durability of these devices before considering plans for broader implementation across other trainsets.
The main advantage of Nanoe X lies in its ability to release air-purifying particles that last six times longer than conventional air ions. This innovation aims not only to improve passenger comfort, but also forms part of the company's strategic steps in implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles focused on creating a healthier environment for the community.
