The implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in Indonesia has now entered a new chapter. Large companies, ranging from banking, retail, to electronic device distribution sectors, are no longer just using AI as an automation supplement, but are making it the main driving engine in strategic decision-making and business operations.

Chief Digital Officer of PT Allo Bank Indonesia Tbk, Sajal Bhatnagar, revealed that the adoption of AI has revolutionized the way the bank manages customer data. Through real-time data analysis, the bank is able to present highly personalized products and communications for each customer. In fact, in the credit underwriting process, AI has proven capable of performing predictive reasoning with an accuracy level that exceeds human capabilities by up to 30 percent.

A shift in focus has also occurred at PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk. Chief Strategy, Research and Development Officer, Mark Jefferson Go, explained that the company is no longer just focused on selling hardware. By utilizing on-device AI capabilities, Erajaya has begun expanding by offering comprehensive technology solutions for the corporate segment and educational institutions that require value-added benefits beyond just gadgets.

In the retail sector, Kawan Lama Group is also feeling the positive impact of this technology. Director of Information Technology and CRM Loyalty, Renaldi Tjahaya, stated that AI enables the company to understand consumer behavior more sharply. With deeper analysis, Kawan Lama is able to design promotions that are much more relevant for customers.

Despite providing significant efficiency, business leaders still emphasize the importance of responsible governance. Renaldi warned that AI integration must be accompanied by mitigation of data leakage risks and system security. For him, AI is not a substitute for human labor, but rather an instrument to increase capacity so that employees can focus more on strategic and creative tasks.
