The Vietnam International Exhibition and Conference on Control and Automation (VCCA-2026) returns under the theme "Intelligent Automation - Strategic Technology of the Digital Era." The event acts as a cross-sector collaboration platform combining three main pillars: an international scientific conference, a business forum, and an automation technology exhibition (AT Expo) held in conjunction with a regional OCOP product exhibition.

On the academic front, VCCA-2026 recorded a surge in participation, featuring 157 peer-reviewed research papers. The research presented across 22 subcommittees covers cutting-edge topics such as industrial robotics, autonomous vehicles, and electronic applications in biomedicine and agriculture. A key highlight of the plenary session was the concept of robot self-intelligence, emphasizing the integration of hardware, sensors, and environmental response to enhance future robot safety and adaptability.

Meanwhile, the business forum at the event facilitated strategic discussions among government, academia, and business leaders. Key discussion topics included the development of local robotics and drone ecosystems, green energy transition, circular economy, and optimizing the role of Big Data and AI in global supply chains. This initiative is expected to foster technology transfer and market expansion for industries, particularly in the Central and Central Highlands regions of Vietnam.

The AT Expo, an integral part of the event, targets up to 70 exhibition booths. In addition to showcasing the latest automation solutions, the organizing committee expressed optimism that the forum will serve as a momentum for signing various memorandums of understanding (MOUs) in investment, research, and human resource development.

Dr. Duong Nguyen Binh, Chairman of the VCCA-2026 Organizing Committee, emphasized that the primary commitment of this event is to bridge the gap between laboratory research and real industry needs. Through sustained connections between professional organizations and the business community, VCCA-2026 is expected to become a key driver in leveraging science for long-term national socioeconomic progress.
