A number of residents of Gunung Maddah Village, Sampang District, Sampang Regency, East Java, have expressed their concern over the increasingly frequent power outages. Residents have experienced this condition over the past few months, with the peak of the disruptions occurring over the last two weeks.
Ustad Nasiruddin, a resident of Acenan Hamlet, revealed that the power outages often last for a long duration, even occurring for up to three consecutive days. According to his records, in the past week alone, the electricity supply in his area has been cut off four times.
Echoing Nasiruddin, another local resident, Ayu Andira, confirmed the increasingly troubling frequency of the outages. She stated that the instability of the power supply not only hampers residents' daily routines but also triggers concerns about damage to electronic equipment due to unstable power fluctuations.
Residents hope that PT PLN (Persero) Sampang unit will immediately conduct an evaluation and technical repairs to ensure the reliability of the electricity supply in the area. As of now, PLN technicians in Sampang Regency have not provided an official statement or response regarding the community's complaints.
