Lampung Province marks the starting point for the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, as he begins a series of national political tours following his term in office. Jokowi's arrival in Bumi Ruwa Jurai on Friday (June 26, 2026) also signals the start of structural strengthening agendas for the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), led by his son, Kaesang Pangarep.

Before setting off, the former President emphasized that his role in this agenda is not as a party executive. Instead, Jokowi's presence is focused on serving as a mentor who provides motivational encouragement to local cadres to build a more solid and organized political machine.

In his official statement, Jokowi stressed the importance of completing the organizational structure down to the grassroots level. For him, a strong organizational transformation is key to fostering healthy, democratic political awareness that has a broad impact on the wider public.

The synergy between father and son was evident as the two embarked on an overland journey to Mesuji Regency. Accompanied by the Chairman of the PSI Lampung Regional Leadership Council (DPW), Achmad Ridho Julian, the group directly inspected the readiness of the regional base as part of the planned national consolidation roadmap.

Mesuji Regency is scheduled to be the opening location for Jokowi's political tour series across various other strategic regions in Indonesia. This move demonstrates the party's seriousness in expanding and strengthening its support base nationwide under the direct guidance of a figure regarded as a primary mentor.
