PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Kalimantan Tengah (Bank Kalteng) has achieved a proud accomplishment by winning a prestigious award at the 2026 Bisnis Indonesia Award (BIA). The bank, an icon of pride for the "Bumi Tambun Bungai" community, was named the best Regional Development Bank (BPD) in the asset category of IDR 20 trillion to IDR 40 trillion.
Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the Central Kalimantan Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Sudarsono, expressed high appreciation for this achievement. According to him, this award is clear proof of Bank Kalteng's commitment to continuous innovation amidst tight competition in the national banking industry. He stressed that supporting this regional state-owned enterprise (BUMD) is crucial, given that the bank's profit contributions directly support the regional development agenda in Central Kalimantan.
Regarding future strategic steps, the legislative branch gave a positive signal regarding Bank Kalteng's expansion plan to open a branch office in Jakarta. The move is considered an appropriate effort to capture broader business opportunities while strengthening the regional bank's bargaining position in a more competitive market. Commission I of the Central Kalimantan DPRD is committed to continuing to monitor the bank's performance through periodic hearings to ensure innovation remains a top priority.
High optimism was also expressed regarding the leadership of Bank Kalteng's new President Director, Maslipansyah. With a solid track record in the conventional banking sector, Maslipansyah is expected to bring significant change. The Central Kalimantan DPRD hopes this new leadership can accelerate digital transformation and service quality, allowing Bank Kalteng to move up to a higher tier and compete globally in the future.
