Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 1 Medan City has once again recorded brilliant achievements at both the regional and religious levels. Two outstanding students, Adek Aleska and Taqiya Rabbani Batubara, successfully brought home gold medals from two different competitions in late July 2026, reinforcing the madrasah's commitment to nurturing both the athletic and spiritual talents of its students.
Adek Aleska showed her dominance in the water by sweeping four gold medals at once in the North Sumatra Province swimming championship held in Deli Serdang Regency on Sunday (26/7/2026). She emerged as the fastest in the 25-meter Freestyle, 25-meter Breaststroke, 50-meter Freestyle, and 50-meter Breaststroke categories, after competing closely with student athletes from various regencies and cities.
Meanwhile, an outstanding achievement in the spiritual field was carved by Taqiya Rabbani Batubara. Taqiya successfully secured the top position and won a gold medal in the online Qur'an memorization (Tahfiz) competition, proving the effectiveness of the religious character strengthening program implemented by MIN 1 Medan City.
Acting Head of MIN 1 Medan City, Ali Sanusi Rambe, M.Pd., expressed his deep appreciation for the dedication and hard work of his students, as well as the full support from their parents. As a form of appreciation, the madrasah provided development funds to stimulate the spirit of achievement and motivate other students to dare to hone their potential in various competitive fields.
