The Halal Product Assurance Organizing Body (BPJPH) continues its efforts to expand its global network to strengthen the halal product ecosystem. Recently, BPJPH received a visit from the Korea Agency of HACCP Accreditation and Services (KAHAS) to discuss strategic collaboration in the development of Halal Product Assurance (JPH) technology, particularly digital-based halal logistics systems.
The important meeting, which took place in Jakarta, was also attended by representatives from the Korea Halal Certification Center (KHCC), GL Halal Center (GLHAC), and several industry players from South Korea. This partnership is expected to optimize the halal certification system and increase consumer trust in cross-border trade.
Head of BPJPH, Ahmad Haikal Hasan, explained that the integration of digital technology is crucial in the modern halal supply chain. The utilization of this innovation is seen not only to increase the efficiency of the certification process but also to maintain product integrity from the production line, storage, to the hands of consumers.
The man familiarly called Babe Haikal emphasized the importance of the halal logistics sector to prevent product contamination during the distribution process. According to him, well-documented supervision is a key factor amidst the current rise in the global trade of halal products.
Meanwhile, Director of KHCC, Seo Yeon Beom, presented their technological readiness, one of which is through the implementation of SMART HACCP. This digital sensor-based food safety management system is capable of monitoring Critical Control Points in real-time so that the accuracy of product safety and cleanliness assurance is maintained.
This collaboration is expected to unite the vision that halal products are not just a matter of compliance with religious laws, but also a quality guarantee that includes cleanliness, safety, and comprehensive protection for global consumers.
