The Tangerang City Government continues to accelerate preventive health services through the Free Health Checkup (CKG) Program. As of June 26, 2026, a total of 658,292 residents have undergone examinations, equivalent to 32.7 percent of the city's total population. This achievement also marks a program success rate of 71.08 percent of the annual national target.
Head of the Tangerang City Health Office, dr. Dini Anggraeni, stated that this initiative is not merely about chasing participation numbers. The CKG program is designed to map the health profile of residents, enabling community health centers (puskesmas) to provide earlier treatment for potential chronic disease risks such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and public nutritional issues.
To expand accessibility, local health authorities are now implementing an outreach strategy targeting various sectors, ranging from educational institutions, offices, communities, down to the neighborhood (RT/RW) level. The public is also provided the convenience of accessing this service at all puskesmas health facilities at any time without waiting for special events.
The Tangerang City Health Office urges residents who have not yet undergone checkups to immediately take advantage of the service. Early detection is considered crucial so that residents can maintain productivity and receive appropriate medical treatment before their health condition worsens.
