Regional regulation enforcement officers in Sumbawa Regency have once again demonstrated their firmness in maintaining public security and order (Kamtibmas). On Friday night, July 10, 2026, a joint team led by the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) launched a large-scale operation at several strategic locations deemed prone to violations.

The main targets of this activity included enforcing discipline among business owners in commercial areas as well as strict inspections at cafes and nightlife venues. This step was taken as a concrete effort by the local government to enforce existing regulations while minimizing potential security disruptions within Sumbawa's jurisdiction.

In addition to inspecting administrative documentation and compliance with local regulations (Perda), the joint team also took preventive measures such as conducting urine tests at entertainment venues. This action aims to ensure that the community's social environment remains clean from illicit substance abuse, which often triggers criminal acts.

This operation is expected to serve as a deterrent to violators and raise public awareness about the importance of complying with rules for the collective comfort. As of this report, authorities continue to monitor the situation on the ground to ensure that conditions throughout Sumbawa remain conducive and under control.
