Drama unfolded in the final match of the 2026 MANIS CUP I football tournament held at the Ludung Meukong Stadium, Krueng Batu Village, on Saturday (1/8/2026). Cobra FC successfully emerged as champions after defeating their rivals, Putra Mulia FC, with a narrow 2-1 score in a tightly contested match that lasted until the final minute.
Cobra FC's success in clinching their maiden trophy received a warm welcome from South Aceh Regional House of Representatives (DPRK) Member, Muhammad Hamra. The lawmaker representing the Kluet Raya electoral district expressed his deep appreciation for the dedication and struggle shown by both teams throughout the tournament.
The National Awakening Party (PKB) politician stated that the MANIS CUP I tournament serves as a positive platform to scout and hone young talents in sports, especially football. This championship is expected to continuously produce outstanding athletes from South Aceh.
Furthermore, Hamra also advised the Cobra FC players not to become complacent with this victory. He emphasized the importance of maintaining consistent training, physical fitness, and game rhythm to face subsequent, far more competitive tournaments.
