Festivals are now transforming not only as a means of recreation, but also as an effective educational platform. This is reflected in the Danamon Festival held in Karawang on July 31, 2026. The event successfully combined a music entertainment stage with interactive financial management socialization targeting the younger generation.
Organized in celebration of the 70th anniversary of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, this festival presented a lineup of renowned musicians across genres. Ranging from dangdut singer Ayu Ting Ting, Japanese singer Hiroaki Kato, Rombongan Bodonk Koplo (Robokop), Akbar Chalay & Mingse, to the music group Diskoplo enlivened the atmosphere. Not just music concerts, visitors were also treated to a culinary bazaar, lifestyle market, and automotive exhibition.
Danamon Chief Strategy Officer, Reza Iskandar Sardjono, explained that this festival was designed to build an emotional connection with the local community. According to him, the event is a form of Danamon's appreciation to customers and partners who have supported the bank's long journey over seven decades.
Through this interactive concept, visitors, especially millennials and Gen Z, can learn about various digital financial products and services in a more relaxed manner. This approach is considered much more effective and relevant to the lifestyle of today's youth who enjoy outdoor activities.
By synergizing financial education into daily activities like watching concerts and shopping, financial literacy is expected to be delivered in a more fun and easily understood way, while supporting local economic growth.
