The 11th Regional Conference (Musda XI) of the West Java Golkar Party DPD, held in Bandung on Thursday (02/04/2026), served as a crucial momentum for the party's internal consolidation. This forum marked a new leadership relay as well as a reaffirmation of West Java's position as a strategic vote reservoir in the national political landscape.
Deputy General Chairman of the Golkar Party DPP, Idrus Marham, who attended on behalf of General Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia, emphasized the importance of West Java to the party's triumph. According to him, Golkar's dominance in this province will be the main determinant of the party's victory on a national scale. Idrus instructed all cadres to remain at the forefront in escorting the strategic programs of the Prabowo-Gibran administration, ranging from the food sector to the strengthening of MSMEs.
In addition to providing political directions, Idrus emphasized the crucial role of cadres on the ground as information mediators capable of quelling public anxiety. "Golkar cadres must be present as explainers as well as calmers for the public, ensuring government policies are properly conveyed to maintain social stability," he stressed during the address.
This Musda also marked the conclusion of Ace Hasan Syadzily's term as Chairman of the West Java Golkar Party DPD. Given his state duties as Governor of Lemhannas, Ace did not run for re-election. He advised that the succession dynamics be managed with organizational maturity to maintain internal solidity.
In a democratic selection process, House of Representatives (DPR RI) member Daniel Mutaqien Syafiuddin was ultimately appointed as Chairman of the West Java Golkar Party DPD for the 2026-2030 period. This decision was made by acclamation after another candidate, Ahmad Hidayat, announced his withdrawal from the nomination race.
Daniel Mutaqien sailed through smoothly after securing strong support from 22 regency/city DPDs as well as party wing organizations. He committed to continuing the real work of the previous leadership and turning the West Java Golkar Party into a competitive political machine in welcoming upcoming political contestation agendas.
