The Tangerang City Health Office (Dinkes) is finalizing a comprehensive health screening service aimed at students in its region. This initiative is carried out as a strategic step to perform early detection of various health issues that could potentially hinder the students' future.
The Head of the Tangerang City Health Office, dr. Dini Anggraeni, stated that this program is part of the Free Health Check (CKG) agenda. The main focus of the activity is not just monitoring physical conditions, but conducting a thorough mapping of health problems commonly found in school-age children.
Through this program, local community health centers (puskesmas) in the respective areas will take immediate intervention steps if health issues are indicated. The measures provided vary, ranging from education on clean and healthy living behaviors, assistance in improving nutrition, follow-up examinations, to providing referrals to higher-level health facilities if necessary.
The Tangerang City Government hopes this preventive step can ensure better growth and development for children. With early intervention, it is expected that students will avoid long-term disease risks and have optimal health quality during their education.
