Divers from South Kalimantan showcased their prowess on the international stage at the 3rd Pari Sakti International Diving Competition 2026. The prestigious competition, held at the Gelora Bung Karno Aquatic Stadium in Jakarta, witnessed the South Kalimantan team's success in collecting a total of 14 medals.
The medal haul consisted of four gold, nine silver, and one bronze. Gold dominance was contributed by Ziyad Abqari Rajendra, who won two events: 3 Meter Novice B Boys Group 1 and 1 Meter Novice B Boys Group 2. In addition to Ziyad, Navaro Arfan Wibowo and Muhammad Ilham also successfully contributed gold medals in the 3 Meter Novice B Boys Group 2 and 1 Meter Group A Boys categories, respectively.
Proud achievements also came from the debuting and female athletes. Muhammad Rayyan Fatthian put on an impressive performance in his international debut by winning two silver medals, while Siti Kinasih contributed three silver medals across various events. Additional silver medals were contributed by Muhammad Ilham, Polina Rizky Amalia, and Navaro Arfan Wibowo.
The coaching team expressed high appreciation for these achievements. According to them, the progress shown by the young athletes demonstrates that the diving development program in South Kalimantan is on the right track. This international success is expected to boost the athletes' morale to continue improving their performance ahead of larger competition events in the future.
