Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of UIN Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri (UIN Saizu) Purwokerto held a preventive health screening activity, which was integrated into their monthly routine meeting at the local campus Auditorium. This agenda aims to foster awareness of the importance of early health detection while strengthening ties among members.
In collaboration with Medico Labora Clinic, a BPJS Kesehatan partner, DWP UIN Saizu facilitated blood sugar tests to detect the risk of diabetes mellitus early. This step is expected to encourage a healthy lifestyle among members to prevent the development of chronic diseases at an earlier stage.
The Chairperson of DWP UIN Saizu Purwokerto, Nurjanah Ridwan, emphasized that regular check-ups are vital to monitor body metabolism before serious physical disorders arise. She also highlighted the central role of women, especially mothers, who serve as the main pillars in maintaining harmony and resilience within the household.
Echoing this sentiment, the Coordinator of DWP Postgraduate Program, Nortri Yuniarti Muthmainnah, expressed appreciation for the smooth running of the event organized by her team. Besides focusing on physical aspects, this activity also provided spiritual nourishment through a sermon (tausiah) by Dr. Munawir, Vice Dean I of FUAH UIN Saizu, who encouraged the congregation to regularly read the Quran directly from the mushaf.
Through the integration of physical health services and religious guidance, DWP UIN Saizu hopes that all its members can remain productive and healthy. The high enthusiasm of the participants taking part in the screening shows a strong collective awareness to maintain fitness to support their roles in their families and the institution.
