The Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya (FIA UB) officially welcomed a delegation from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, as part of an academic visit program. Involving three lecturers and 15 international students, the agenda aims to strengthen global exposure and examine the role of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the modern business ecosystem.
Head of the Business Administration Study Program at FIA UB, Dr. Anni Rahimah, S.A.B., M.A.B., Ph.D., revealed that this initiative is a strategic step by the university to address the challenges of the digital era. In addition to guest lecture sessions, this collaboration includes a field study at Technopark Cangar to directly observe the implementation of AI in disaster mitigation as part of a business sustainability strategy.
This program is also a tangible manifestation of support for the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) within FIA UB, which allows students to earn double degrees through international partner schemes. By partnering with UB's Directorate of Innovation and Science and Technology Park (DIKST), the university hopes students can hone creative, ethical, and sustainable problem-solving skills in line with the demands of the global job market.
On this occasion, senior lecturer from Swinburne University, Dr. Viet Le, presented an in-depth concept of the Business Model Canvas (BMC). He appreciated the enthusiasm of the participants who actively engaged in the discussion sessions. Furthermore, both parties hope this visit will serve as a foundation for broader cross-border collaboration in the future, not limited to knowledge exchange, but also intercultural dialogue.
