Commission I of the Bogor City Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) is seriously scrutinizing the operations of the Tipzy Bears nightlife venue located on Jalan Merdeka, Central Bogor. This step was taken following a surge of public reports regarding brawls between visitors, which are deemed to have disturbed public order in the area.
The legislative body's attention peaked after video footage circulated on social media showing a physical clash at the location on Friday (3/7/2026) night. It is strongly suspected that alcohol consumption was the main trigger for the repeated brawls, causing anxiety among local residents.
Secretary of Commission I of the Bogor City DPRD, Edi Kholki Zaelani, confirmed that his party is conducting internal discussions regarding the resident reports. As a concrete step, the DPRD plans to summon the Bogor City Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) for in-depth questioning regarding the operational legality and liquor sales permit of the venue.
“We need to ensure whether every type of alcoholic beverage sold has an official permit. In addition, operational supervision aspects to date will also be thoroughly evaluated so there are no further violations troubling the public,” Edi said.
The Bogor City DPRD emphasized its commitment not to let this issue drag on. This evaluation is being conducted to ensure that all night entertainment business operators in Bogor City comply with applicable regulations, while supporting the City Government's efforts to maintain public security and order stability to remain conducive.
