The Cu Pui Village Government has just conducted a comprehensive evaluation regarding the implementation of the national digital transformation policy throughout the first semester of this year. The main focus was directed towards the implementation of strategic resolutions regarding the development of science, technology, and innovation outlined by the central government.
By mid-year, more than 210 civil servants and local technology team members had participated in intensive digital literacy training. Infrastructure support was also strengthened by providing even internet connectivity, covering all village service offices down to the 16 hamlets under their administration.
The public service sector showed significant performance, where all citizen requests have now transitioned to online systems. Data shows that 3,450 requests have been received with an on-time processing rate reaching 99.7 percent and document digitization reaching a perfect score, placing this village at the forefront of the public service index at the provincial level.
However, the local government is not turning a blind eye to existing obstacles. During the evaluation session, delegates highlighted crucial challenges, ranging from limited public understanding of digital technology and hardware inconsistency in the field to technical issues in operational software that is sometimes unstable.
Responding to these challenges, the Steering Committee is committed to strengthening leadership responsibilities and accelerating the completion of pending tasks. The future focus will be on policy improvement and strengthening cybersecurity to support a safer, more innovative, and conducive digital ecosystem for technological development in the region.
