Basic health services in Samarinda City continue to be strengthened to improve the community's quality of life. A total of 12 cadres from Posyandu Cempaka and Posyandu Teratai in Lempake Sub-district, North Samarinda District, underwent intensive training to enhance their capacity in supporting the Integration of Primary Services (ILP).

The activity, which took place over two days on August 1–2, 2026, was held at the residence of the Head of RT 09, Lempake Sub-district. This training is part of the 2026 BIMA Community Service Grant Program, focusing on revitalizing the ILP-based Posyandu ecosystem to optimize residents' healthcare services.

The Head of the Implementation Team, Riska Mayang Saputri Ginting, S.Gz., M.Kes, explained that this training aims to enable the cadres to provide basic health services more comprehensively. This skill improvement is expected to make the cadres better prepared to meet various basic health check-up needs in the field.

On the first day, the cadres were provided with material regarding the basic concepts of ILP Posyandu as a bridge for community health services to the community health center (Puskesmas) by Anitatia Ratna Megasari, S.K.M., M.P.H. Following that, the training continued with the practice of anthropometric measurements, the interpretation of basic biochemical screening results, and the use of digital tensimeters by an expert team.

Entering the second day, the focus of the training shifted to family nutrition education guided by an academic team from the Bachelor of Nutrition Study Program. The cadres delved into materials related to the balanced nutrition guideline "Isi Piringku" (Fill My Plate), regulation of sugar, salt, and fat consumption, and solutions for dealing with children experiencing "Gerakan Tutup Mulut" (GTM - refusing to eat).

Through this technical capacity improvement, the cadres are expected to be able to conduct health screenings more accurately and reliably. This improvement in service quality is also targeted to encourage active participation and increase community visits to the local Posyandu.
