PT AIA Financial emphasized that regular premiums still play a crucial role as the main backbone of the company's business. The sustainable nature of these premiums is seen as reflecting customer commitment to more stable, long-term financial planning.

Legal and Compliance Director of AIA, Rista Qatrini Manurung, explained that current market dynamics show diverse preferences among customers. Although single premiums are recording significant growth, the company continues to see positive enthusiasm from the public for insurance products with regular payments.

Data from the Indonesian Life Insurance Association (AAJI) as of March 2026 recorded single premium growth reaching 7.4 percent (year on year), while regular premiums contracted by 5.2 percent. Rista attributes this phenomenon to the flexibility of single premiums, which appeal to customers amid challenging economic conditions and a favorable capital market environment.

"We see the movements of both premium types as a dynamic adjustment to customer needs, not a permanent shift in preferences. Both complement each other to fulfill various protection coverage needs for the public," said Rista.

Furthermore, the company expressed optimism that interest in regular premiums will strengthen again alongside the recovery of public purchasing power. To maintain balanced growth, AIA is committed to strengthening product innovation, enhancing consumer education, and optimizing distribution strategies across all business lines.
