The Government of Taiwan, through the International Trade Administration (TITA) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), has officially launched the 'Go Healthy with Taiwan 2026' program. This global initiative aims to attract cutting-edge innovations in the health and fitness technology sectors, inviting the participation of startups, researchers, and institutions from various countries, including Indonesia.

Under the theme 'Designing Healthier Futures Together', the program focuses on development in strategic fields such as smart healthcare, medical device technology, healthy ageing, and sport science. Participants are challenged to integrate technology and business models from Taiwan into innovative solutions that can be practically applied in community and professional environments.

A significant difference in the 2026 edition lies in the introduction of the 'Top 20 Mentorship Program'. The 20 selected finalists will receive intensive mentoring from global industry experts. This step is designed to accelerate market validation, refine business models, and speed up the commercialization of products developed by the innovators.

The success of the previous edition, which recorded 638 proposals from 55 countries, serves as a strong foundation for organizers to expand the impact of cross-border collaboration. To date, the program has successfully sparked various international research collaborations, including the implementation of medical technology in Ukraine and advanced materials research collaboration between Swiss and Taiwanese companies.

Registration for the program is now open, with the deadline for proposal submissions on August 5, 2026, at 23:59 GMT+8. In addition to mentoring opportunities, the top three innovators will be eligible to win prizes of 30,000 USD (approximately Rp542.6 million). The six selected finalists will also receive an exclusive opportunity to visit Taiwan to observe the health innovation ecosystem firsthand.
