Efforts to modernize the agricultural sector in the country are being intensified to boost national productivity. In Trenggalek Regency, East Java, agricultural drone technology is being implemented to assist in more precise pesticide spraying across rice field areas in Karanganom Village.
This effort is part of a smart farming implementation campaign initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture. The move aims to accelerate modernization in the food crop sector while minimizing operational costs for farmers.
Through the adoption of this unmanned technology, the government is optimistic that the efficiency of production inputs and labor utilization can be significantly improved. The use of this digital innovation is expected not only to maintain local food stability but also to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia's agricultural sector on the global stage.
