Ambitious targets have been set for 2030, with Vietnam aiming for a ratio of 12 research personnel per 10,000 residents, as well as a 10% annual increase in international scientific publications. This step is taken to ensure the country can master strategic technologies and achieve independence in the global digital competitive landscape.

Reflecting on South Korea's success, private sector involvement is the main key. Conglomerates like Samsung, SK hynix, and LG have proven that active corporate participation in postgraduate training and research funding can bridge the gap between academia and industry needs. This model transforms companies from mere manufacturers into innovation hubs nurturing high-level technical talent.

Adopting this pattern, Vietnam's private sector has begun taking proactive steps. Technology companies such as FPT have launched dedicated support programs for doctoral students with total incentives reaching up to 500 million VND per person. Through the establishment of the Quantum AI & Cybersecurity Institute with a US$100 million investment, FPT aims to train 100 doctorates and create thousands of new technology experts.

The synergy among government policies, educational institution dedication, and business sector participation forms a vital foundation for Vietnam's technological future. By strengthening independent research capacity and practical ground connectivity, Vietnam strives to enhance its competitiveness amidst increasingly fierce global competition in core technologies.
