Mount Anak Krakatau has once again shown significant volcanic activity following a quiet period since 2024. On Thursday (2/7) at 14:05 WIB, the volcano located in the Sunda Strait was reported to spew volcanic ash up to a height of 200 meters above the peak.
This event marks the return of eruptive activity for the volcano after showing no signs of eruption for a considerable time. Based on the latest monitoring data, authorities have officially set Mount Anak Krakatau's status to Level II or Alert.
