Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited successfully maintained its title as the most prominent foreign banking entity at the prestigious Bisnis Indonesia Awards (BIA) 2026. This award proves the bank's consistency in maintaining its performance growth rhythm through the optimization of its strategic resources.

The BIA 2026 board of judges, consisting of prominent economic experts such as Raden Pardede, Eduardus Tandelilin, and Lana Soelistianingsih, based their assessment on financial quantitative indicators as well as rigorous qualitative analysis. Bank of China was deemed to excel significantly in terms of financial strength compared to other foreign bank competitors in the domestic market.

From an operational standpoint, first-quarter financial records for 2026 show a solid performance. The Jakarta branch office reported a 19.83% year-on-year surge in assets, reaching IDR 90.47 trillion. This growth is aligned with credit distribution which increased by 22.80% to IDR 28.87 trillion, supported by stable third-party funds at IDR 68.39 trillion.

Not only in terms of expansion, the bank's asset quality is also very well maintained. Bank of China's Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) was recorded strong at 42.74%. Meanwhile, the quality of credit distributed remained healthy with a low gross Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio of 0.17%, and a net NPL of 0%.

The Bisnis Indonesia Awards 2026 itself is an annual appreciation event organized since 2002 for issuers and corporations that demonstrate brilliant business performance. In this edition, the award was presented directly by the leadership of the Bisnis Indonesia Group to the management of Bank of China in recognition of their outstanding achievements throughout the observation period from 2023 to 2025.
