SDN Sawangan 05 State Elementary School is finalizing preparations ahead of the Depok City Traditional Sports Week, scheduled to take place on September 3, 2026, at Sukatani Stadium. The school's blowpipe team, consisting of three boys and three girls, is currently undergoing intensive training to hone their technical skills and target accuracy.
This routine training is centered in the school yard under the direct guidance of their supervising teacher. The efforts are focused on improving concentration, refining blowpipe techniques, and building the mental readiness of the young athletes before competing in the city-level event, which is predicted to be highly competitive.
Novi, the supervisor of the SDN Sawangan 05 blowpipe team, expressed optimism about the performance of her students. She targets the school contingent to achieve the highest honors in this year's event, surpassing the achievements of last year's competition.
This confidence is not without reason. In the 2025 festival, SDN Sawangan 05 successfully brought home brilliant achievements through Rindu Amalia who won 2nd Place, and Muhamad Rafif who secured fourth place (honorable mention I). Both high-achieving athletes have again been trusted to strengthen the school squad for this season's competition.
With the return of these experienced athletes, the school hopes they can motivate their teammates to perform at their best. Last year's competition experience is expected to be a valuable asset for the SDN Sawangan 05 team to capture the first-place title and bring pride to the school at the city level.
