The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of DKI Jakarta Province reported an upward trend in the prices of goods and services throughout June 2026. According to the latest data, the annual or year-on-year (yoy) inflation in the capital region was recorded at 2.78 percent.
This increase is reflected in the rise of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 109.81 in May to 110.26 in June 2026. This figure indicates the cost-of-living pressure felt by the public in Jakarta over the past year.
Several commodities were the main contributors to this inflation rate. The food sector still dominates, with price increases in rice, broiler chicken, cooking oil, and red chili. In addition, price fluctuations in non-food sectors such as gasoline, airfares, and gold jewelry also made a significant contribution to the overall price index increase.
