Hundreds of residents from the Pondok Lakah Permai Complex, Paninggilan Urban Village, Ciledug Subdistrict, Tangerang City packed the courtyard of the Baiturrahman Mosque on Monday (27/7/2026). They enthusiastically took advantage of the Free Health Check (CKG) service initiated by the Banten Provincial Government to bring free medical check-up access closer to the public.
The benefits of this program were directly felt by local residents who wanted to check their health conditions regularly. One beneficiary, Yanuar (42), admitted he was greatly helped because he could undergo blood pressure and eye examinations for free as an initial step before undergoing an X-ray procedure in the near future. Echoing Yanuar, Dwi Seno (64) assessed that this program successfully raised residents' awareness for early detection of diseases without having to line up at major hospitals.
This CKG program is part of the tactical steps to make President Prabowo Subianto's strategic program in the health sector a success. Under the guidance of Banten Governor Andra Soni, this service is distributed across 253 community health centers (puskesmas), various school levels from elementary to high school, and reaches remote areas through Mobile Telemedicine services, including for the Baduy indigenous community.
Banten Governor Andra Soni revealed that cross-sector synergy has successfully brought the achievements of the CKG program in Banten to be among the best at the national level. Currently, Tangerang City has recorded the highest progress in Banten, with realization reaching 43 percent of the initial target of 46 percent. Andra urged the public not to hesitate to get checked to mitigate potential illnesses from an early stage.
Furthermore, Andra ensured that patients requiring further medical treatment will be referred to government hospitals free of charge. Thanks to the implementation of the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) scheme in Banten Province, the public is guaranteed to receive optimal medical services even if they do not have active BPJS Kesehatan membership.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Banten Provincial Health Office, Ati Pramudji Hastuti, explained that her party is mobilizing all health professional organizations to ensure that this CKG service runs daily at various points, targeting the productive-age population. The Mayor of Tangerang, Sachrudin, also expressed his appreciation and emphasized that this collaborative program is a concrete form of the government's commitment to delivering the best health services needed by the community.
