SAMPANG – The UPTD Kamuning Public Health Center (Puskesmas) held a Free Health Screening and Examination program at UPTD SDN Panggung 1, Sampang District, on Monday (3/8/2026). This preventive measure aims to detect early potential health issues in school-aged children that are often not physically visible.

In this activity, six medical personnel were deployed to conduct comprehensive examinations of the students. The medical services provided included measuring body mass index through weight and height, dental and oral health examinations, sensory functions such as ears and nose, as well as basic physical hygiene like nails.

Not only targeting the students, this periodic health check also reached the teaching staff. Teachers at SDN Panggung 1 received free basic health checks, which included blood pressure measurements and blood sugar level checks to monitor their physical fitness while teaching.

The Head of UPTD SDN Panggung 1, Wahyudi, fully appreciated the initiative from the public health center. According to him, this proactive outreach program greatly helps the school map the students' health status periodically without having to wait for more severe disease symptoms to appear.

With this early detection, the school hopes that children's growth and development can be monitored optimally to support a smooth teaching and learning process. Going forward, it is hoped that this program can run continuously to create a healthy school environment that is aware of the importance of maintaining hygiene from an early age.
