Nusa Mandiri University (UNM) is further strengthening its role as a Digital Business Campus by hosting an intensive workshop titled “Business Model and Business Planning Training”. The event, initiated by the Nusa Mandiri Startup Center (NSC) and the Nusa Mandiri Entrepreneur Center (NEC), was held at the UNM Margonda campus in Depok to encourage students to become active participants rather than mere spectators in the digital business ecosystem.
Erlan Bahtiar, CEO of Global Mandiri Computer & Consulting who attended as a speaker, emphasized that the key to a startup's success lies in its ability to solve problems in the market. He shared seven crucial steps for aspiring entrepreneurs, ranging from identifying problems and structuring a systematic business model to having the courage to immediately execute ideas on a small but measurable scale.
“A successful business must stem from a solution to real customer needs. Do not just focus on selling products, but build value that gives your business a competitive advantage,” said Erlan during his presentation to the workshop participants.
Head of NSC and NEC, Fitra Septia Nugraha, explained that this activity is part of a sustainable nurturing ecosystem. According to him, students often have innovative ideas but face hurdles during the implementation phase. Therefore, UNM provides comprehensive support ranging from idea validation and mentoring to minimum viable product (MVP) development, ensuring students are ready to compete on a national level.
This commitment aligns with UNM's vision of producing graduates who are job creators rather than just job seekers. Through this program, it is hoped that students can turn dreams into achievements while contributing significantly to the growth of Indonesia's digital economy.
