The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Cimahi City officially accepted internship program applications from four students of the Informatics Engineering Study Program at Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani (Unjani) on Thursday (30/7/2026). This step is part of efforts to strengthen the Election supervision system by integrating information technology innovation in the digital era.
The presence of these information technology students highlights that election supervision today does not rely solely on legal and political aspects. Technological support is deemed increasingly crucial to ensure that all stages of the democratic process run transparently, effectively, and adaptively to changing times.
Cimahi City Bawaslu itself stated that it is open to students from various disciplines to gain practical experience. In addition to informatics engineering, this election supervisory body also opens internship opportunities for students majoring in law, political science, economics, accounting, and communication studies.
For interested students, Bawaslu has established several administrative documents that must be submitted. These requirements include an official cover letter from the campus, a curriculum vitae (CV), the latest academic transcript, and a formal passport photo.
These partnership documents can be submitted directly to the Cimahi City Bawaslu Office at Jalan Babakan No. 37, or sent online via the official email bawaslucimahi@gmail.com. Through this program, Bawaslu hopes that the synergy between the academic world and public institutions can foster fresh ideas to improve the quality of democracy at the local level.
