Police officers from the Mangaran Police, together with ranks from the local Koramil, conducted intensive security for the Rukun Famili cultural art performance held in Karanganyar Hamlet, Tanjung Pecinan Village, Situbondo Regency, on Saturday night (4/7/2026). This event is part of the series of celebrations for the Petik Laut tradition organized by the local fishing community.

The event, which attracted around 700 residents, was also attended by members of the sub-district leadership coordination forum, including Mangaran Sub-district Head Titik Suwarni, Mangaran Police Chief AKP Agus Siswanto, and village heads from surrounding areas. The presence of community leaders and security personnel demonstrated support for preserving coastal traditions that have become a cultural identity passed down through generations.

The security strategy implemented by joint personnel included open and covert deployment around the event location. This measure was taken to ensure that the entire series of entertainment activities proceeded in an orderly, safe, and smooth manner, allowing the public to enjoy the performance peacefully.

Mangaran Police Chief, AKP Agus Siswanto, emphasized that the presence of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) among the community is not merely to maintain order, but also reflects a commitment to supporting the preservation of local culture. Until the end of the event, the situation at the venue was reported to be conducive, safe, and smooth without any significant security disruptions.
