Jakarta has once again reaffirmed its position as a global Islamic economic hub through the hosting of the D-8 Halal Expo Indonesia (HEI) 2026. Organised by PT Angan Kreasi Semesta, this international event is scheduled to take place at the Senayan Tennis Indoor Complex in Jakarta from 8 to 12 July 2026 as an official series of the D-8 Summit 2026.

President Director of PT Angan Kreasi Semesta, Aryo Wibisono, stated that all technical preparations have reached their final stages. The event has received full support from various strategic stakeholders, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, KNEKS, BPJPH, and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). This synergy is expected to optimize Indonesia's role as Chair of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation for the 2026–2027 period.

The exhibition serves as a crucial platform for local businesses to penetrate the international market. Several D-8 member countries, such as Pakistan, Iran, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Türkiye, Sri Lanka, Palestine, and Nigeria, have confirmed their participation. The committee is also actively facilitating business matching sessions to connect business owners with potential investors.

The D-8 HEI 2026 lineup will feature four main pillars: product exhibitions, business matching, D-8 HEI Talk panel discussions featuring global economic experts, and a cultural festival. More than 15 discussion sessions will thoroughly examine the future of the halal industry, ranging from tourism to Islamic entrepreneurship.

The general public is welcome to attend and enjoy all events free of charge by registering in advance. Aryo remains optimistic that this event will not only strengthen economic diplomacy but also open up broader export opportunities for Indonesia's flagship products across D-8 member countries, which encompass a total population of over 1.3 billion people worldwide.
