The North Kuta Sector Police (Polsek) continue to tighten security in the tourist area of Batu Bolong Beach, Canggu Village, Badung Regency. This anticipatory measure is carried out through dawn patrols to ensure a conducive environment as visitors leave nightlife venues.
Led by the Acting Head of Patrol Unit 3 of the Samapta Unit, Police Sub-Inspector I Komang Jaya Negara, police personnel were stationed at crucial points in the early hours of Tuesday, around 03:30 WITA. Security was focused on crowd-prone areas, ranging from parking pockets, nightlife venue exits, to the main Canggu traffic route.
The Chief of North Kuta Police, Police Commissioner I Ketut Sukadana, explained that the presence of officers on the ground aims to minimize potential disturbances to public order and security (kamtibmas). The patrol targets all travelers, both domestic and international tourists, to ensure they can return to their lodgings safely and orderly.
In addition to monitoring visitor movement, officers were also busy managing traffic flow to ease vehicle congestion that frequently occurs when nightclub operating hours end. Humanist appeals were also conveyed to remind visitors to maintain public order and remain vigilant about their belongings.
These preventive efforts, consistently carried out until dawn, received appreciation from local business actors. The police presence is considered effective in creating a safe tourism climate, allowing tourists to feel protected even when engaging in activities late into the night.
