Residents in the area of Jalan Kedondong Dalam III, RT 05, Gunung Kelua Village, Samarinda Ulu Subdistrict, were shocked by the discovery of the body of a man with the initials AD (34) in his boarding room on Monday (27/7/2026).
This tragic event was first revealed after the victim's wife felt anxious because her husband could not be contacted. Worried that something bad had happened after her phone calls and text messages went unanswered, the wife finally asked the boarding room owner for help to check on her husband's condition.
The boarding house owner who came to check found the room door locked tightly from the inside. After knocking repeatedly without response, he decided to peek through the window gap and was shocked to find the victim already lifeless on the bed.
The Chief of Samarinda Ulu Police, AKP Asriadi, confirmed that after receiving a report from the boarding room owner through the local neighborhood head (RT), the police immediately headed to the scene. SPKT (Integrated Police Service Center) personnel along with the on-duty officers arrived at around 08:50 WITA to conduct a crime scene investigation (TKP) and secure the surrounding area for a smooth investigation.
To date, the police are still conducting an in-depth investigation and gathering statements from several witnesses at the scene. The police have not yet been able to conclude the exact cause of AD's death and are still awaiting the results of the identification and further medical examination of the victim's body.
