AMBON - Efforts to organize the mining sector in Maluku Province have entered a new chapter. The Parusa Tanila Baru (PTB) Cooperative has officially received the Approval and Ratification document for the Work Plan and Budget (RKAB) for the management of the gold mine in the Gunung Botak area, Buru Regency. The handover of this strategic document was conducted directly by the Head of the Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Office of Maluku Province to the Chairman of the PTB Cooperative, Ruslan Arif Soamole, on Wednesday (15/7/2026).
This step marks the beginning of a new era of gold management that is legal, structured, and oriented toward the welfare of the local community. With the RKAB in hand, the PTB Cooperative now has a strong legal foundation to begin all operational stages of mining in accordance with the regulations set by the government.
Chairman of the PTB Cooperative, Ruslan Arif Soamole, emphasized his commitment to conducting mining activities responsibly and transparently. His party promises to comply with all technical standards and working methods approved in the RKAB document to preserve the environment and ensure legal compliance that can be openly monitored.
In addition to focusing on legality aspects, the PTB Cooperative is also committed to placing the Soar Pito Soar Pa indigenous community of Petuanan Kaiely as the top priority in the operational chain. As holders of customary rights in the Gunung Botak area, local residents will be actively involved, both through labor absorption and business partnerships, to ensure that the positive economic impact is directly felt by the local community.
