The General Chairman of the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) for Lhokseumawe City, Mulyanto, invites all elements of society to change their paradigm regarding physical activity. He emphasized that sports should no longer be viewed merely as a hobby or a leisure activity, but must be positioned as a basic need to maintain quality of life.

According to Mulyanto, physical health is a valuable asset that requires long-term investment through consistency. He observed that the current phenomenon of sports is still often done sporadically, such as only when a certain trend arises or when someone has spare time, making a sustainable healthy lifestyle difficult to establish.

In his view, the awareness to exercise independently and with discipline will arise naturally if physical activity is considered an essential need. By routinely engaging in physical activity, the function of bodily organs can be optimally maintained, while also increasing individual vitality in carrying out daily routines.

Mulyanto also emphasized that an active lifestyle adopted by all layers of society—from children to adults—will have a significant impact on increasing regional productivity. He hopes this message can trigger collective awareness so that every individual begins to allocate time for sports according to their respective physical conditions and capacities.
