Students participating in the Field Learning Practice (PBL) I from the Faculty of Public Health (FKM), Hasanuddin University, officially launched their program through an initial seminar in Macorawalie Sub-district, Panca Rijang District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, on Monday (6/7).
This event serves as a crucial momentum for students to build synergy with sub-district officials and local community elements. The primary focus of this program is to conduct an in-depth identification of various health issues in the area to formulate accurate data-based policy recommendations.
Coordinator of the PBL I Post in Macorawalie Sub-district, Muh. Imam Arief Asshiddiq, emphasized that the accuracy of field data is the main foundation for formulating targeted health solutions. From July 3 to 16, 2026, the students will go directly into the field to collect primary and secondary data, conduct comprehensive observations, and analyze the health conditions of the residents.
This information-gathering process involves various stakeholders, ranging from sub-district officials and medical personnel at health facilities to local community leaders. This collaborative approach is expected to map the real needs of the community with greater precision.
Head of Macorawalie Sub-district, Arwang SE, expressed high appreciation for this academic initiative. He noted that cross-sectoral collaboration between students and the community is a strategic key to strengthening sustainable health development at the sub-district level.
