The changing technological landscape triggered by artificial intelligence (AI) and the acceleration of digital transformation have revolutionized the criteria for talent acquisition by corporations. Today, technical mastery alone is no longer sufficient; the modern workplace now prioritizes the younger generation who possess critical thinking and collaborative skills, and are capable of delivering concrete solutions that bring real impact to the wider community.

This crucial issue came to light during a panel discussion titled "Beyond Profit: Creating Impactful Innovation" held at the Catholic University of Indonesia Atma Jaya, Jakarta. This forum is part of the Road to Permata INSPIRE initiative initiated by Permata Bank to bridge academia with real-world industry dynamics.

Professor at the School of Business and Social Innovation, Atma Jaya University, Prof. Rosdiana Sijabat, emphasized the importance of higher education institutions aligning their curriculum with shifting industry needs. She stated that future competitive value is no longer measured solely by financial profit, but by consistency in creating a responsible social impact.

In line with this view, Director of Strategy & Corporate Development at PT Fore Kopi Indonesia Tbk, M. Fahmi Rachmattulah, highlighted that understanding basic human needs remains a core competence that cannot be replaced by machines. Fahmi shared three important principles for young innovators: focusing solutions on real problems in society, aligning profitability with social value, and prioritizing the development of human capacity before adopting new technological systems.

On the other hand, Division Head of Corporate Relations & CSER at Permata Bank, Melinda Hoesain, reaffirmed their commitment to facilitating collaborative spaces between students and business practitioners. Through this program, it is hoped that creative breakthroughs from the younger generation will emerge, which not only support business growth but also contribute tangibly to environmental sustainability and social welfare.
