The Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) of the Jambi City Police (Polresta Jambi) conducted large-scale raids at several nightlife venues on Friday (24/7/2026) night. Code-named "Operation Antik 2026," the operation targeted five different locations in Jambi City in an effort to curb narcotics abuse and illicit trafficking.
The operation, which began near midnight, precisely at 23:00 WIB, was led directly by the Chief of Jambi City Police, Police Grand Commissioner Ananto Herlambang. The police officers swept through five popular nightlife spots, including Grand House on Jalan Kapten Pattimura, Karaoke Adinda and Karaoke Bunda on Jalan DI Panjaitan, Luna entertainment venue on Jalan Prof. DR. Moh. Yamin, and Dinasti located in Lorong Idola.
When officers arrived at Grand House, Karaoke Adinda, and Karaoke Bunda, the venues were quiet and no visitors had arrived yet. Consequently, officers did not conduct urine tests at these three locations. The raids were then focused on the other two operating venues.
At the Luna entertainment venue, officers randomly selected 14 visitors to undergo urine tests. Shortly after, a similar check was conducted on two visitors at Dinasti. The Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Jambi City Police, Police Commissioner Assistant Tito Al Hafezt, confirmed that out of the total 16 urine samples tested randomly, all showed negative results for drugs.
AKP Tito explained that the operation focused not only on enforcement but also served as a preventive measure to maintain public order and security (kamtibmas). The Jambi City Police is committed to remaining actively present in the community to provide a sense of safety and prevent potential crime triggered by drug abuse.
