The Gianyar Resort Police (Polres) has increased surveillance of nighttime activities through the 2026 Public Disease (Pekat) Agung Operation. In the operation conducted on Sunday (26/7/2026) night, officers combed through several nightlife venues to anticipate potential disruptions to public security and order (Kamtibmas).
The raid, led by the Pekat Agung Task Force (Satgas), focused on checking the identities of cafe managers and inspecting licensing documents, particularly distribution permits for alcoholic beverages (miras). This step was taken to ensure all business establishments operate in accordance with applicable regulations.
In addition to administrative checks, police officers also implemented a humane preventive approach. Personnel on the ground engaged in direct dialogue with business owners and visitors, while urging them to jointly maintain a conducive local environment.
Until the operation concluded, the situation at the three main target locations was reported to be safe and conducive. The Gianyar Police confirmed they found no distribution of illegal alcohol or indications of drug abuse during the raid.
