Welcoming the new 2026 academic year, the government has officially integrated free health examination services into the Friendly School Environment Orientation Period (MPLS) program. This initiative is designed as an effort for early detection of both physical and mental conditions of new students, ensuring that every student can begin their academic activities in prime condition.
This program targets all education levels, from elementary school to senior high school/vocational school (SD to SMA/SMK). The examination data will later serve as a strategic reference for parents, schools, and healthcare workers to monitor student health development, while also helping to create a learning ecosystem that is adaptive to each child's specific needs.
To access this service, registration is conducted digitally via the Ministry of Health's SATUSEHAT Mobile application. For students from kindergarten to junior high school levels, the registration process must be completed by parents or legal guardians, while senior high school/vocational school students are given the flexibility to register independently.
The registration process begins by downloading the SATUSEHAT application from the Google Play Store or App Store, followed by logging in or creating a new account. In the 'Linked Profiles' menu, parents can add the details of the child to be registered. Users are then directed to enter the 'Examination Ticket' menu by filling out complete identity details, including their BPJS Kesehatan number, medical history, and school location information.
After completing the details and agreeing to the consent form, the system will automatically issue a health check ticket. The final step is to complete the self-administered health screening available within the application. Through this integrated procedure, the government hopes that collaboration between schools, parents, and medical personnel will ensure that every student is ready to undergo the educational process optimally.
