The Palu City Government has begun finalizing a new direction for regional business development through a strategic meeting with the new board of directors of the Palu City Regional Public Company (Perumda). The Vice Mayor of Palu, Imelda Liliana Muhidin, personally received the inaugural audience in her office on Monday (27/7/2026).
This meeting marks the first coordination following the inauguration of Sulaeman A. Rasyid as the President Director of Perumda Palu City on July 20. Accompanied by Perumda Supervisor Hery Susianto, this audience was utilized as an important momentum to strengthen synergy while drafting a roadmap for the transformation of the regional government-owned enterprise (BUMD) to make it more professional, healthy, and highly impactful for city development.
On that occasion, Sulaeman A. Rasyid revealed that the new management is currently focused on carrying out a comprehensive internal overhaul. This acceleration step includes improving clean corporate governance, strengthening the organizational structure, and formulating a long-term business plan.
According to Sulaeman, the draft program currently being prepared aims to stimulate the regional economy and increase its tangible contribution to Regional Original Revenue (PAD). Feedback from the Vice Mayor is considered crucial to refine the business plan document before it is officially submitted to the Capital Owner's Representative (KPM).
The Vice Mayor of Palu welcomed this transformation step positively and expressed optimism about the new leadership within Perumda. This moral support serves as an encouragement for the management to continue generating new productive business innovations that are adaptive to local market developments.
This aligned business plan is targeted to be completed and finalized in the near future. Perumda is committed to executing its dual role in a balanced manner, namely as a professional business entity that generates profits for the region and as a development agent that provides social benefits for the people of Palu.
