The East Luwu Regency Government, through the PKK Mobilization Team in collaboration with the Health Office, officially conducted competency enhancement training for 128 Posyandu cadres. The activity, centered at Wisma Trans Malili, aims to strengthen the role of cadres as the front line of public health services in every village.
Assistant III of the East Luwu Regional Secretariat, Askar, who opened the event, emphasized that strengthening cadre capacity is a crucial step in supporting government programs. According to him, competent and professional cadres are key to accelerating the reduction of stunting rates, improving maternal and child health, and controlling non-communicable diseases in the region.
On the same occasion, Head of Division IV of TP PKK, dr. A. Hiswanah, explained that the 25 taught competencies cover five main clusters. These clusters include Posyandu management, maternal and child health, adolescent health, as well as health monitoring for adults and the elderly. This training is designed to cover the entire human life cycle so that health services can be delivered optimally.
The training method was conducted comprehensively over three days, combining theoretical sessions and field practice. On the final day, participants will perform a direct simulation at a Posyandu to refine their technical skills, ranging from measurement techniques and data processing to persuasive communication skills with the community.
Through this initiative, the East Luwu Regency Government hopes that cadres will be capable of becoming independent drivers of health. This aligns with the region's vision to create a healthier, more productive, and prosperous community moving forward.
