SUWAWA - The Bone Bolango Regency Government continues to strive to transform public health awareness through the utilization of digital technology. This strategic step was taken by partnering with the academic sector to optimize the implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) directly at the village level.
The Regional Secretary of Bone Bolango Regency, Iwan Mustapa, emphasized the importance of this collaboration when opening the socialization of digital media for PHBS for productive families in Tanggilingo Village, Kabila District. The activity, which took place at the Toewawa Hotel on Monday (3/8/2026), highlighted the crucial role of universities in contributing innovation to regional development.
Amid local budget constraints, Iwan assessed that technological adaptation, including the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI), is an efficient solution to disseminate health information on a massive scale. Digital platforms and educational video content are considered more adaptive in changing the public mindset compared to conventional counseling methods.
Furthermore, the Regional Secretary explained that strengthening PHBS is an absolute preventive measure to minimize morbidity rates and save on health insurance budgets. Although insurance such as BPJS Kesehatan remains optimized, early prevention through clean living habits remains the regional government's top priority.
Iwan hopes that Tanggilingo Village can become a pilot project in this health education digitalization. If this program succeeds in mobilizing local residents' awareness, the Bone Bolango Regency Government is committed to replicating a similar model in all other village areas.
