The General Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Pohuwato Regency has synergized with the local General Elections Commission (KPU) and the Buntulia Community Health Center (Puskesmas) to organize free health check activities. The agenda, packaged in the "Kamis EMAS" (Energy, Healthy and Fit, Building Togetherness, Clean Environment Action, and Spirit of Supervising) program, took place collaboratively in Marisa, Pohuwato, on Thursday (23/7/2026).
The event was attended directly by the Chair of Pohuwato Bawaslu, Yolanda Harun, and her staff, as well as the Chair of Pohuwato KPU, Iskandar Ibrahim, along with commissioners and secretariat staff. The presence of these election organizers demonstrates a shared commitment to maintaining physical health to support the smooth execution of upcoming election supervision and organization tasks.
Yolanda Harun revealed that the "Kamis EMAS" program is designed not only to maintain the physical fitness of the staff but also to strengthen relations between the institutions. Through healthy living habits, it is hoped that officials within the election organizing body can work more productively and optimally in serving the public.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Buntulia Puskesmas, Ningsi Hippy, explained that this free health service is part of the Free Health Check (CKG) Program launched nationally. The medical examinations conducted included checking blood pressure, cholesterol levels, uric acid, and blood sugar levels as early detection steps for various disease risk factors.
Ningsi appreciated this cross-sector collaboration and hoped that other agencies would also actively utilize similar services. She added that participants indicated to have health problems based on the initial examination results will be directed to receive further treatment and follow-up care for free at the Buntulia Puskesmas in accordance with applicable health procedures.
