The Regional Public Water Utility (Perumda Air Minum) of Padang City is accelerating the repair process of the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Gunung Pangilun. This strategic step was taken as part of the company's responsive effort to restore infrastructure damaged by a hydrometeorological disaster in late November.
Perumda management targets completing the entire series of vital infrastructure repairs as fully as possible within the next three months. Accelerating this work is a top priority to ensure that clean water distribution operations return to normal.
Damage to the Gunung Pangilun WTP previously disrupted the quality and continuity of clean water service for around 25,000 customers. This figure accounts for nearly half of the company's total customer base residing in the central area of Padang City.
Management is committed to completing these repairs as quickly as possible to minimize service disruptions for affected residents. These restoration efforts are expected to serve as a permanent solution to restore the stability of clean water supplies for city center residents.
