The sports world in Dumai City is now preparing to enter a new chapter following the appointment of Abdul Kadir Jailani as the Acting Chairman of the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) of Dumai City. This new leadership brings fresh optimism for the advancement of local athletes' achievements.
In carrying out his mandate, Abdul Kadir is fully committed to strengthening cross-sector collaboration. This strategic step involves reinforcing synergy among KONI, sports branch administrators (cabor), the local government, and the business community active in Dumai.
A solid partnership with the private sector is expected to provide more sustainable facility and financial support for athlete development. This massive consolidation effort is targeted to significantly boost the achievements of the Dumai City contingent at the upcoming Riau Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) to be held in 2027.
