The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTT) achieved a proud milestone by earning two awards simultaneously from the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI). This recognition was awarded for Polda NTT's initiative as a pioneer in providing mental health therapy services using the Ultimate The Source Body, Mind, Soul Emotional Freedom Technique (USEFT) method for police members and the general public, featuring the largest number of participants in a series of sessions.
The award presentation, held at the Polda NTT Headquarters in Kupang on Saturday (4/5/2026), coincided with the commemoration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day. Inspector General of Police Rudi Darmoko, Chief of the NTT Regional Police, stated that the appreciation represents recognition of his institution's commitment to prioritizing a humanistic approach in all public services.
"This award is not the ultimate goal, but rather an incentive for the National Police institution to continue being a helper, listener, and source of strength for others. The mental health of personnel is the main key to delivering professional, empathetic police services whose benefits are truly felt by the public," said Inspector General Rudi Darmoko.
MURI Operations Director Yusuf Ngadri explained that the record award was based on strict verification of the program, which had been ongoing since June 12, 2026. A total of 11,663 participants from 22 working units within Polda NTT participated in the therapy, making this program a world-scale achievement.
This innovation is expected to inspire police forces in other regions to pay greater attention to psychological health aspects. Polda NTT's strategic step aligns with the spirit of the Polri Presisi transformation, which focuses not only on law enforcement but also on providing solutions for the mental well-being of the wider community.
